Liability Releases

General Liability Release:

Playing any sport, including dodgeball, involves risk and accidental injury despite all safety precautions. Please be aware of the risks before voluntarily signing up for any Rose City Dodgeball Association LLC (RCDA) league, tournament, or event. Having been informed of the activities to be conducted at the RCDA LLC's events, I, as an individual named herein, assume all risks and hazards incidental to the activities, and release from responsibility all liability, claims, costs, and damages including attorney fees and costs to the RCDA LLC. I also agree to indemnify and hold harmless Nick Keller and their contractors/volunteers for any illness, injury, or damage to me, or my children, or other family members occurring during all RCDA LLC events at the Mittleman Jewish Community Center. I understand that if I am presently under a doctor’s care that I have received their permission to exercise or participate in this tournament.

Photography Release:

I hereby grant the RCDA and its affiliates permission to use my likeness in a photograph, video, or other digital media (“photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications, without payment or other consideration.

Code of Conduct:

By registering for any Rose City Dodgeball Association (RCDA) league, tournament, or event, I agree to the following community standards:

1. Respect & Inclusivity: I will treat all players, captains, volunteers, and the RCDA team with respect. RCDA is an inclusive community, and harassment, discrimination, bullying, or unsafe behavior of any kind is not acceptable.

2. Play Safely & Responsibly: I will play with the safety of others in mind. This includes avoiding dangerous throws, excessive force, retaliation, or actions that put others at risk.

3. Good Sportsmanship: I will show honesty, integrity, and kindness on and off the court. I will accept calls from referees and the RCDA team respectfully, even when I disagree.

4. Substance Use: I will not participate while excessively intoxicated or high. If I choose to drink or use substances before or during play, I will do so responsibly and in a way that does not impact safety, gameplay, or the experience of others.

5. Community Conduct: I will help maintain a positive and welcoming environment for everyone. This includes resolving conflicts calmly and communicating concerns to the RCDA team when needed.

   
   

Consequences

I understand that RCDA may take any action deemed necessary to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment. This may include warnings, removal from games, or suspension from current or future RCDA events.
