Sliding Scale Pricing

RCDA uses sliding scale pricing to make our leagues and tournaments more accessible while still covering operating costs.

Choose the registration rate that works for you.

Community Rate

The Community Rate is a reduced registration option for players who would benefit from a lower cost.

Choose this rate when the General Rate would create a financial barrier or make it difficult for you to participate. No explanation or approval is required.

General Rate

The General Rate reflects the approximate cost of operating the league or event for each player.

This rate helps cover expenses such as court rental, equipment, insurance, registration systems, event staffing, and other operating costs.

Choose this rate when it is comfortably within your budget.

Supporter Rate

The Supporter Rate is for players who are able and willing to contribute above the General Rate.

Choosing this rate helps RCDA offer lower-cost registration options, respond to rising operating expenses, invest in equipment, and continue building accessible dodgeball opportunities for the community.

Some events may allow you to contribute more than the listed Supporter Rate.

FAQ

How Should I Choose?

We encourage you to choose the rate that feels sustainable for your current financial situation.

You may consider the Community Rate if paying the General Rate would require you to reduce spending on necessities, take on debt, or skip the event entirely.

You may consider the General Rate if you can pay the operating cost comfortably.

You may consider the Supporter Rate if you have additional financial flexibility and would like to help strengthen RCDA and expand access for other players.

These are guidelines, not requirements. We trust players to select the option that is right for them.

Does My Pricing Tier Affect My Experience?

No.

Your pricing tier does not affect team placement, playing time, eligibility, communication, equipment access, or any other part of the event experience.

Organizers and captains do not need to know which rate you selected.

Why Do Prices Vary Between Events?

Each RCDA event has different operating costs.

Pricing may be affected by:

  • Court size and rental rates

  • Number of weeks or event hours

  • League or tournament format

  • Equipment and supply needs

  • Staffing and administrative costs

  • Insurance and registration fees

  • The expected number of participants

The registration page for each event will list the available rates and explain anything specific to that event.

What Does My Registration Support?

Registration fees help RCDA provide organized, welcoming, and consistent dodgeball programming.

They may support expenses including court rental, insurance, equipment, website and registration fees, event staffing, payment processing, and other costs required to operate the league.

Supporter Rate contributions may also help offset Community Rate registrations and support future community programming.

Other Questions About Pricing?

We want cost to be as little of a barrier as possible.

Review the pricing options listed on the event registration page and select the rate that works best for you. If none of the available rates fit your current financial situation, please contact RCDA before registering. We are happy to discuss additional options and work with you to find a registration cost that feels manageable.
